The much-awaited Annual Function at Darshan Academy Ferozepur, themed “Pratibimb” (Reflections: A Journey Through Time), celebrated reflection, culture, and spiritual values. The event brought together the school community to embark on a journey of memories, emotions, and self-discovery through the lens of our rich cultural heritage and the teachings of the spiritual curriculum. The event began with the lamp lighting by the chief guest, Mr. Inderjit Singh Bedi, Deputy Superintendent of Police with the National Investigation Agency.
The students’ performances beautifully captured the essence of India’s diverse culture. The girls’ Ganesh Vandana was a soulful start, followed by a heartwarming welcome by the tiny tots dressed as letters to greet the audience. Their delightful welcome song set the tone for the day. The students then showcased their talents through folk dances, representing various states across India. Performances included the vibrant Goa Carnival, Bhangra from Punjab, the graceful Garba of Gujarat, and the timeless “Ekla Chalo Re” by Rabindranath Tagore, performed by grade II. Two inspiring skits based on stories from the spiritual curriculum were presented. These skits focused on life lessons related to detachment and nonviolence. They underscored the importance of inner peace and harmonious living, values that are core to the school’s teachings.
The Annual Function was more than just a showcase of talent; it was a platform for learning where students embraced new skills and experiences. In his address, Mr. Inderjit Singh Bedi inspiringly discussed the importance of good education in shaping one’s future. He highlighted the significance of educating and preparing girls for the challenges ahead. Joyful performances, learning, and reflections on the values that shape our lives made it a day of celebration, knowledge, and community spirit—a true reflection of Darshan Academy’s commitment to holistic education.
