Roti Bank Activity, Ferozepur

Darshan Academy, Ferozepur organized a Roti Bank activity on 11 January, 2020 to help underprivileged people. Grade nursery to 3rd students and their teachers brought fresh rotis and bread to the Balvatika Gift City Area Gandhinagar. The school has adopted these areas for Roti Bank activity. The joy on the people’s faces after receiving rotis was priceless.

Plantation Drive, Ferozepur

Students of Darshan Academy, Ferozepur planted various trees and plants around the campus grounds to make students aware of how important it is in our lives. Students and teachers enjoyed the plantation process.

Friendship Day Celebration 2016, Ferozepur

Friendship is a beautiful relationship. To express the bond of friendship, students at Darshan Academy, Ferozepur, celebrated the day on 8th August, 2016. Friendship Day celebrations, take place the first Sunday of August every year in India. It has become a popular day in many countries. On this day people spend time with their friends and family and exchange flowers, cards and wrist bands expressing love for one another. Even the tiny toddlers in Darshan Academy tied friendship bands on one another. Then everyone enjoyed toffees together.

Vegetarian Diet Week, Ferozepur

As part of the holistic education of Darshan Academies, DA Ferozepur held a Vegetarian Diet Week from 18th to 23rd January, 2016. During the week children were taught the names of nutritional fruits and vegetables, learned helpful words of love, animals, vegetables, fruits, nuts, etc. and created a lovely “Vegetarian Diet” booklet. Veggie songs were sung and stories were told to the children and a loving poem of gratitude to God was learned. Helpful concepts of being a healthy, kind, loving to all and grateful vegetarian were shared. The week culminated with a Veggie Fest of delicious vegetarian foods which the students heartily enjoyed.

Transport Project Week, Ferozepur

As part of the EVS curriculum “Means of Transport” a project week was held at DA ,Ferozepur from 28th December, 2015 to January 1st, 2016. The week was filled with conversations and activities relating to land, water and air transportation. Children recited the rhyme “Sadak bani hai lambi Chauri”, colored different modes of transport worksheets, made cut-outs of their favorite transportation, played with toy vehicles, and learned about road safety “signal lights”. The children enjoyed the week while learning about transportation and safety rules.

Blue Day Celebration, Ferozepur

A “Blue Day Celebration” was held on 10th December, 2015 at Darshan Academy, Ferozepur. Blue clad nursery school children entered classrooms decorated with blue objects, blue chairs and tables. Blue whales, blue butterflies, and blue flowers created by the children adorned the classrooms. Children merrily sailed small blue paper boats in water. Wearing blue flowers the children printed various designs. The day was a joyful way to introduce the color blue to the children!

Family Project Week, Ferozepur

“My Family” was the Project Week theme held for the young students at Darshan Academy, Ferozepur. Teachers introduced the concept of “My Family” and the school was decorated with drawings of family members and family names. Each child shared the names of their family members, brought in photos, and created a colorful family tree. The children created hand-made cards inviting their parents and grandparents to a Family Day Celebration on 4th December, 2015. Students learned loving rhymes for their parents and gave them a decorated heart which said "I Love My Family". Parents and grandparents were entertained with the rhymes and songs of the children. Tea and snacks were served and the families, children and staff enjoyed this special day celebration.

Animal Kingdom Day Celebration, Ferozepur

As part of their EVS Syllabus “Domestic Animals” students participated in an Animal Kingdom Day at Darshan Acdemy, Ferozepur on 30th October, 2015. Wearing masks of different animals which had been made by the teacher, they emitted sounds resembling each animal. Next they went to the playground where they played “Jungle Games” such as hiding behind the trees, racing and catching each other while repeating the names of the animals and voicing their sounds. The students also sorted animal puzzles and colored animal faces on paper. It was a fun and playful day for the children and an enjoyable way to learn the topic.

Visit on Plantation Day, Ferozepur

Young students of Darshan Academy, Ferozepur visited a local plant nursery to learn how small seeds grow into big plants. Children were shown how small saplings were planted in glass tumblers to sprout and how the plants grow by viewing various shapes and sizes of larger plants. The students brought a small sapling back to the campus to plant, water and watch it grow. They also did an art activity coloring various plants on drawing paper.
