Inaugural Ceremony - Silver Jubilee Year

(September 16, 2019)

Darshan Education Foundation started the celebrations of its Silver Jubilee Year on 14 September 2019 with special, local celebrations in the schools. The date coincided with the birthday of the poet saint and spiritual Master, Sant Darshan Singh Ji Maharaj, after whom the foundation and Darshan Academy are named. The beautifully decorated schools organized a ceremonial release of balloons as part of the celebration, presenting a mesmerizing sight. Plantation of a Silver Jubilee tree was another memorable feature of the event, along with the ceremonial lamp lighting and presentation of planters to the distinguished guests. A kaleidoscopic view of the journey of Darshan Academy since its inception was offered. Wonderfully choreographed cultural programs included recitals of Sant Darshan Singh Ji’s poetry, heart-warming ghazals, qawwalis and scintillating dance performances. A grand finale featuring the school song acted as the cherry on the cake. The year-long celebration could not have had a better beginning than this. We look forward to the approaching year, loaded with many new learning experiences for our young Darshanites. We feel blessed and fortunate to be a part of Darshan Education Foundation, reaping the benefits of seeds sown in the education field 25 years ago.
